Fragment of Northern Lights
Are you familiar with the Inuit legend that links labradorite to the Northern Lights?
It is said that these celestial lights were once imprisoned in the rocks of Labrador.
A warrior, by breaking these rocks with his spear to release the light, would have unintentionally created the northern lights that rose towards the sky.
This story explains the origin of the stone's iridescence and symbolizes the link between earth and sky, with labradorite being considered a fragment of these lights that fell to earth.
It is seen as a stone carrying within it the magic of the Northern Lights, a powerful symbol of this connection.
In this fragment of labradorite, I see something like a captured rainbow.
So I made it implode on the wood: my way of freeing the boreal soul that had hidden within. 🌈✨
